Interesting - such poorly produced coins; I like the loss of motto lettering from the grease-filled dies, though.

 

One thought did occur to me; since you're in the UK (land of the counterfeit round pounds), I wonder if the coins are real.

 

What do the edges look like?

The mintmarks appear to be weak due to grease strike-thru and/or damage.
