Too light --for luster and you lose the bell lines

 

Friends and Society,

For now I am going for the dark side. I am trying to get the best shots for bell lines and then later on change the camera settings and light to get the luster to pop out at the same time.

 

Sure is a fun challenge and the latest pics are loaded for a nice slide show.

Do you use any editing software with layers? If so, you can combine the two shots to enhance the bell lines on the luster shots... ;)

Definitely nice strong lines on that one! I'm guessing that's a 52D (or a 48D). For more FBL's, see my Registry set. Photographing these things is hard, but my friend Bob Campbell does a really good job.

Nice photo and very sharp bell lines - particularly for a PCGS slab. I'd be very happy if all of my FBL's were that sharp.
