A recent 50c acquisition to my collection ...

 

The image is a coin I recently purchased. It's a so-called 50c, 1959 silver Hawaii Statehood, thin variety (illegally made the same thickness at the US 50c piece). Purchased at a reasonable price...

Nice piece! I love the Heraldic Art Medal series. The designs are top notch, and they were minted in around 6,000 pieces for each design. The Hawaii is one of my favorites, but one I haven't yet purchased. I have been trying to find all 13 that have horses on them...I'm up to 10. :)
