S Update on lost packagee through USPS on

5 posts in this topic

So on march 29th i mailed out 3 packages to 3 different locations. All 3 had been lost or stolen, so i thought. I opened a case through investigations on thursday this past week. Keep in mind i did NOT insure them! Why, cause im an insufficiently_thoughtful_person and new to selling.

Anyway, yesterday i get a message from one of the buyers saying he FINALLY received his coin and is MORE THAN HAPPY with his buy! It was a raw 1888 P morgan. He won it for $71.

I checked the other tracking numbers and one of the others had arrived also! No word from buyer yet!

To me, this means the coins werent all stolen at least! Im just waiting on the 1882 CC to get to its destination. Thisone sold for $155. So even ifthis one never makes it, im only out $155 instead of $300. Still crossing my fingers!

I have learned my lesson and never mail withough insurance!

Nick

If all three of them had delays, the problem is very likely at your local post office. I would try using a different post office, or alerting the postal manager to the unacceptable delay. At least you had tracking on them!

I'd guess they were waylaid somewhere while an employee (or employees) went on an extended Easter holiday, the somewhere probably being at or close to the place from where they were originally sent.
