Kudos to US Mint

 

I just received in the mail the UNC $5 Gold Star Spangled Banner Commemorative I had ordered on Monday, WOW what service, same week delivery on a new gold issue!!!

The obverse well depicts a naval battle scene from the War of 1812, with IN GOD WE TRUST, LIBERTY 1812-2012 as the inscription. The reverse show the handwriting " O say can you see" against the backdrop of 15 stars and stripes representing the Star Spangled Banner flag. A very well designed modern commemorative in my opinion. I am heading down to Baltimore for the Whitman show in two weeks and will submit at the show for grading.

Got my unc and proof silver yesterday, Both of them flawless. Great turn around and coin. Had to send the proof infantry back because of problems reshipped a proof quality one back. No complaints to the mint so far.
