Morgans: 1884 O; 1886 O; 1903 O. Lincoln Cents: 1909 S; 1914 D.

I sent these 5 into grade with NGC- What do you think the grading gods will say? Will post.

 

MORGANS

These are scans through Kointains. I know they are not adequate compared to the great pictures I see and I am working on the pictures.

 

All three of the Morgans really don't show the toning very well IMHO as the operator of this "establishment."

LINCOLNS

These Lincolns are scans through flips.I know they are not adequate compared to the great pictures I see and I am working on the pictures.

 

1909 S Lincoln Cent

This looks more "red" in life.

 

1914 D Lincoln Cent

IMHO this coin is a lot more Red/Brown in real life- Do you think that would grade B or R/B?

1909-S 1c - If there is wear, AU55, no wear, MS64/64+ RB

1914-D 1c - VF25, might Details grade but I can't really tell

Well I only had noow take a guess but here's the grades back today:

 

001 1914 D 1C VF DETAILS IMPROPERLY CLEANED

002 1909 S LINCOLN 1C UNC DETAILS IMPROPERLY CLEANED

003 1886 O S$1 AU DETAILS RIM FILING

004 1884 O S$1 MS 62

005 1903 O S$1 MS 64

 

Anyway, I think this is all very interesting. I think I'd posted that 1909 S in another post which I will have to locate to post the grade and the people that were worried about the mint mark and see the results. I'm learning. i really don't get the clean detail on the 09S but I don't really have the expertise to understand all of that. Kind of wish you could talk to the grading gods and see what they say but I sure can see how if you could they could never get off the phone.
