GTG - 1850 Large Cent - ANACS

Guess the grade. This one resides in a newer ANACS slab. The scratch on the top of the reverse is on the slab, not the coin.

Ooh, , I'm not very familiar with these. That's the fun of these GTG, learning something new.

 

This one appears to be an attractive, choice example. I like the color on it (as far as copper goes, I really don't like copper much). I would say its EF-40. If there were some luster present, I'd go higher because it doesn't look like much wear, but I just can't call it that with no luster.

This baby could do with an acetone bath to clear some of the junk from around the details, but I'd say it's a very nice AU53BN

I'm actually going to revise my response. The coin looks XF40ish to me.

It's a commercial EF-45. EACers might be in the 25 to 30 range.

The opinions seem to vary on this one, but considering it's in a newer ANACS slab, I'll have to go on the high side and agree with AU-55.
