Standing Liberty Quarters - New Images

Sounds like someone threw a temper tantrum. lol

Nothing wrong - read the edited first post.

If anyone had PM'd me - it would have removed

any questions.

What does get my goat however is the amount

of time expended in setting up a Thread - post

images - and a simple question is ignored.

I don't expect everyone to answer who reads

the Thread's question - but when over 50 people

read the question in three days and only one

answers the simple question of "Which One Do You Like Best"

... I really wonder if my effort is worth it.

I never saw your question either. Too busy looking at the photos.

Based on your "coin holder" photo I'd probably like the toned ones like the 18-S. However, the 1917 issues Type 1 are pretty nice.

How long have you been looking for these? What is your criteria? My personal goal was to get pretty toning but at the same time I didn't pay for FH designations. I've always preferred color over strike...that's just me.

If you want to do less work with the photos skip the label...just show that coin. :whee:

amazing collection!!! However for the 1916, the head doesn't look as detailed as the 1917.

Although they are both classified as Type 1 - they are in essence:

1916 - Type 1

1917- Type 2

1917- Type 3

******************************************************************************************

No 1916 - even the finest known - can compare to even the most

mediocre strike of a 1917 "Type 2" [ commonly called Type 1 ]

I'll post the rest of the images later.

For a long time, I never registered with the site, so I couldn't post. But I would view/read posts and learn, and I assume, adding to the "views". I imagine a lot of people find themselves on these threads that haven't taken the time to register, so they can't post.

Great photos, great collection. Jealous.

I have a new 1927-S in PCGS 64 on its way to me as I type this.

Once its imaged, I'll edit this Thread with the new images of the

couple of upgrades and the newp 27-S... and I hope a new 19-S too !!

I'll be posting a very simple Q&A thread soon - and I think a stand

alone Thread will get better responses than attaching the Q&A to

this thread. Last time, the Q&A was ignored.

Love that holder look. Joe (Buffalohead) first came up with that along with another member here and I'm going to do the same. However, to be accurate I'm going to put the reverse side in reverse order just like it would look for real.

Mike: You really really REALLY need to make your photos a bit smaller. :o

:baiting:
