There are a couple of good books about the 1933 Double Eagles. One is titled "Illegal Tender" by David Tripp and the other is "Double Eagle" by Alison Frankel. They are both in my numismatic library and are both good reads.

 

I wonder what the final disposition of those 10 Switt/Langbord Double Eagles will be? I hope their allowed to survive.
