Its part of the definition of FBL. Actually, some weakness immediately to the left and right of the crack is allowed on a FBL coin as well (the number I have seen is 1/64 of an inch).

How can any Franklin Half Dollar exhibit Full Bell Lines (FBL) when all the lines are disturbed by the vertical crack in the Liberty Bell hm
