This was in my fathers coin collection. Is it worn or a planchet coin. Can you tell me what coin you think it is.

it is a peace dollar---------- 90% silver dollar

 

from i believe 1922

 

it looks like a pocket piece to my minds eye as someone carried it in their pocket as a lucky piece or a rememberance of an occasion or for whatever reason and as such it wore down to almost a slick but evenly worn down with no damage nicks etc. as from a long time carried in a pants pocket

 

a neat piece of history from your dads collection

I agree that it is an extremely worn Peace Dollar worth only the value of its silver.

 

P.S. Michael, how did you determine a date?
