My five renewal grades... posted by TD Henson

Grading coins is addicting - I wish I were rich!

The whole process from beginning to end is quite fascinating to me. It's a three step process that heightens my enjoyment of the hobby.

1 - Selecting coins - a lengthy process for me - sometimes 2-3 months to make sure I have the right coins in the submission.

2 - Sending to NGC and awaiting the results - agonizing to say the least!!

3 - Getting them back home to re-inspect, learn from mistakes and revel in success!

My recent submission was actually quite successful!

1979 D 10c MS 66 FT - one of 11 FT coins graded - 2nd Finest

1981 D 10c MS 66 FT - Slightly disappointing, but I agree now

1985 D 10c MS 67 FT - Hard to be disappointed with 67 FT

1988 P 10c MS 67 FT - Tough year/MM in gem FT

2000 D 10c MS 68 FT - Nice gem from a rather easy year MM combo

Happy collecting to all!

Todd
