An anniversary of sorts anyway. It was a year ago last Monday that I started entering coins into a few registry sets.

My how time flies. So how have things changed in the past year? Well, I've gone from a few certified coins with no real purpose in mind to a plan. Like all plans this one has been modified, re-modified, expanded, and modified again. It kind of makes me wonder what it will look like next year.

I've already decided to take a comment about other hobbies that Kerry made and add my interest in Family History to my collecting. Soon, I'll be looking to add year sets for important family milestones (births, deaths, etc.) This should drive my collection in some crazy directions.

On another note, today is my birthday. I celebrated with the addition of two foreign coins. The first is a circulated 1937 1/2 Crown from New Zealand and for the other a 1 Florin of 1948 vintage also from New Zealand. Both should grade out at VF or EF, but that will have to wait until they arrive and I can get a better look at them. Photo grading is hit or miss at best.

Have Fun with your collecting,

Phil

I did a year set for my wife, 1965, and myself, gotta add one for my Daughter, 2005. That should be fun with all the extra issues that were not present in 1958 or 1965. For some reason, even i don't understand, I have hoarded a roll of the 1958 Canadian Dollars with the "DEATH Totem pole. I just love that coin.
