Here is a 1908 100 Mark Bill From Germany....

I think that the dollar bills from this time are highly undervalued... Only question I got is that in the world Currency book that it shows 100 M and mine Shows 100 D... So whats the differnce?

Looks like KM 34, with green serial numbers. KM 33(the one pictured in book) has red serial numbers. Notice that KM 16, which is dated 1895 has '100' with no M or D.

You got me there. I'm taking a guess, but the 'letter' appears to be related to issue series. Both KM 33 and 34 don't value much. This is one of those interesting items that get you thinking. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

I know when I looked in the book there was not much value at all.... seems ashame... I think it much harder for bills to survive than the coins... paper always seems to wear out faster... even if well preserved..

Here is one from neighboring Austria.... KM 49 This is a 1 Krone from 1919... The main differnce between it and KM 20 from 1916 is the big green stamp on the front...
