I couldn't help myself PF-69 Cam Franklins are cool

Just had to buy the 1961 PF-69 Cameo Franklin on Tuesday's Heritage auction to add to the 1963 PF-69 Cameo I picked up on Sunday.

I think these should be tougher to find considering the number reported graded....???

Nice looking coins! :applause: I particularly like the '61.

It's actually pretty classic for nicely cameod 1961 Franklins to have mismatched levels of cameo contrast on the obverse and the reverse. For some reason it happened much more commonly in that year and 1960.

I may be in the minority here but I love a PF69 half with no frost at all. I'm always on the lookout for raw pieces with liquid-like surfaces.

We are both happily in the minority :) ! I actually really enjoy Franklin proofs (and other proofs) that are nearly brilliant, with only light cameo effect.

It seems to me the TPG "Cameo PF69" Franklins seem to be relative bargains given the numbers reported graded (plus they look neat). I just acquired this tangent recently, so opinions are appreciated because I may try to add more dates of this grade.

Thanks.
