Grandpa Glover's Collection- part 1: Wheaties

8 posts in this topic

Hey, a friend of mine at church is having me go through his grandfather's collection and sell it for him. This collection was assembled mostly in the 1950's, the latest coin in the collection is 1963. Its quite a large group of coins, so I'm going to be breaking it up into several parts.

Future parts will include - plenty of silver, large cents, shield nickels, and a whole bunch of great stuff!

Tonight, we will start the fun with Wheaties - literally by the bushel.

First, a couple partial Whitman Thumbbuster's

Whitman Lincoln, 1909-1940 50 coins - $15

Whitman Lincoln, 1909-1940 36 coins - $10

Whitman Lincoln blue folder, 1941-1960D, coins to 1962D 59 coins, all circ - $4

Tons of rolls, all unopened and undisturbed since the collection was put together. I pulled back the top of a couple just to gauge condition, and they all look nice. Most are circulated, except as noted. Some of them are marked with grades, but I'll guess they are average - and will price them accordingly.

1920 - $4

1924 - $4

1928 - $4

1928 - $4

1928 - $4

1954 - $1

1959 - $1

1959 - $1

1959D - $1

1961D Unc - $3

1961D Unc - $3

1963 - $1

1963D - $1

Next, assorted lots, all in 2x2s:

1959-1963, 38 coins, all Unc, most bright cherry red - $5

19-teens wheats, 37 coins, circulated - $8

1920's-1958, G-BU, 250 coins, massive lot - $25

Feel free to make an offer! If you see something you want, but want me to hold it for you in case you want something from a future part (which I will try to get up over the next few days), just let me know and I'll hold it.

Shipping will be based on the total weight - these lots are heavy, so keep that in mind.

Make an offer!

Jason
