Does Anyone Know Why NGC only recognizes 2 Varieties of 1972 P Ike $1?

PCGS just recently started recoginizing all three varities of 1972 P Eisenhower dollar and I wondered if NGC might do the same? Also anyone know how long NGC been recognizing two varities of this coin?

NGC does recognize all three varieties of the 1972 dollar reverse under our VarietyPlus service. These designations are not included unless the submitter requests them and includes $7 per coin for the attribution.

 

To date, no one has submitted a Type 3 dollar to NGC for variety attribution, so that's why none appear in the Census.
