Grade my Barber

I have to agree. The coin has been cleaned to the point where there are hairlines all over it and the Proof surface is gone. There are also black spots to the lower left on the reverse. I would not expect this coin to get a straight grade.

PF64. I see no hairlines on Obverse. Hairlines evident on Reverse. Spotting on Reverse is a concern. In my judgement this coin should be sent to NCS for their evaluation. No evidence of alteration. But proof coins are always difficult to judge from pics.

PR61PCGS, and it's nicer in hand. Yea, sure, it has it's problems, the dark spots and the hairlines, but it's still a pretty sweet coin. Actually has a lot of cameo contrast in hand which is impossible to take pictures of due to the tone.
