Offer a grade - 1882-S Morgan

Only semi-proof like, well struck/flashy - same concave look to obverse, very square edges. A few "blemishes", but a pretty coin.

I would grade that coin MS-65 with a shot at MS-66. There is a minor mark on the face and a few scattered marks on the reverse fields.

 

1882-S dollars tend to come well struck and nice. HIgh grade ones are not as common as the 1881-S and there are fewer P-L coins. Nevertheless the services tend to grade the S-mint dollars from the 1880s conservatively at times, except for some balk grade submissions.

MS65* (high end too) - low to mid MS66 possible. I have seen coins that are inferior in MS66 holders; however, as mentioned, the TPGS are tough on common date materials. In my personal opinion, I think the coin is strong enough to warrant MS66.
