Please grade my grading - 1857 large cent

Is that actually wear or just a weak strike? The denticles have a similar appearance. Yes, I see the green slime, too!

VF-30 sharpness, net graded to VF-20 because of minor corrosion on the reverse.

 

With all due respect to those voted EF-40 or close to that, this is a COMMERCIAL EF-40. This is "bargain" EF-40 that "big ad" dealers in "Coin World" sell you at a reduced EF-40 price. In reality you are getting a VF coin at an inflated price.

 

Here are two large cents that are true EF-40 to 45 coins.

Bill , his photo was a bit blurry - I still think the coin has enough detail for Xf 40 , although that would be the absolute high end . Perhaps Vf 35 would be a more accurate guess.
