2009 MS70PL UHR ST GAUDENS LOST/STOLEN in transit

10 posts in this topic

Over the holidays A 2009 MS70PL UHR ST GAUDENS was lost by the USPS in transit via EXPRESS MAIL.

I just recently filed the insurance claim and haven't had a lot of time to consider all the venues that I should post this notice.

Fortunately, I insured the package for the sale value of the coin.

Still, it's a real heart-breaker for both seller (me) and buyer to have a terrific coin like the

2009 MS70PL UHR SAINT GAUDENS slip through our fingers.

Such is life

I appreciate pointers from the experienced coin experts out there

as to where this info should be sent or posted.

I assume NGC would be one place to start.

Thanks

Bob

Was the package lost, or was the package cut open and coin removed?

The whole package disappeared after it was "accepted" by the Post Office.

Fortunately it was insured. Thanks to all for the tips.

In that case, I would say you have a much better chance of seeing the coin again versus if the package was compromised and the coin was stolen.
