eBay: NGC-Certified Peace Dollars, Some With Striking Toning -- With Pictures

4 posts in this topic

I'm parting with a number of my certified Peace dollars collected over the last five years in order to pursue new collecting directions. These coins are available with no reserve on eBay here. Thanks for looking!

1922-D NGC MS62 -- OK, I'll call this a monster. The obverse has strong cartwheel luster under neutral toning framed by green, gold, and orange toning along the periphery. The reverse is almost completed covered in splashes of green, yellow, orange, red, blue, purple, and magenta. 1922-D Peace Dollar

1921 NGC MS63 -- Lustrous with peripheral russet toning on parts of the obverse rim and a pretty blue patch near PEACE on the reverse. The most distracting mark is perhaps a pin-scratch emanating from Liberty's mouth. 1921 Peace Dollar

1922-S NGC MS64 – Original, albeit with splotchy toning concentrated on the obverse and several hits to Liberty. 1922-S Peace Dollar

1925-S NGC MS63 -- Great frosty texture and peripheral rose-colored toning. 1925-S Peace Dollar

1927-D NGC MS63 -- Nice coin with russet toning concentrated at the periphery. 1927-D Peace Dollar

1934-S NCS AU Details, Stained -- This was an original, crusty AU Peace dollar until sent to NCS to remove what I thought might be PVC on the reverse. They 'conserved' the reverse of the coin (and their solvent touched a small patch on the obverse rim) and declared it 'stained.' Nonetheless, it would still look good in an album. 1934-S Peace Dollar

1935-S PCGS MS62 (OGH) -- Original and somewhat crusty. Obverse features uniform satiny patina while reverse has a strong russet peripheral toning ring. 1935-S Peace Dollar
