No idea. Looks like a corroded token of some sort - the crossed golf clubs behind a ball on a tee are like no coin I'm aware of.

PORTUGUESA is written for sure on it, and I think it is 1627. The 2nd number is either6, 0 or 8.

i can only go back to 1701 but as i look here in that book , i now need some of these designs. they are wonderful. like the 4 escudos. wow.

Thx. Still nothing on my search either. I didn't have so many troubles identifying a coin before, of course just the ones since 1800.

What metal does it look like it's made from?

 

When you look at the edge of the coin, do you see a line down the center?

The blue side of the coin is flat on one side. Don't see that on the other side. Line down edge of coin----good idea to look at that. Looks like put together from 2 different coins.

It has about 2,5 centimetres as diameter, it looks silver and yes, it has a line down the center on the edge.

 

Any ideea?
