I'd appreciate any grade opinions on this 1908-S Barber dime.

Looks to me like it might have been cleaned and is retoned.

I would go VF-20 or so. It has better details and surface quality, but the scratch through the nose and a few incidental circulation marks on the cheek are slightly detrimental, as is the weak dentilation.

Don't look at very many circulated dimes -

but - I'd say it was a VF 30 - 35 - nice crusty coin.
