Suggestions for Type Circulation Carson City Set

3 posts in this topic

I am interested in starting a cc type circulation set. I would need a seated dime, quarter, half, dollar; as well as a twenty cent and trade dollar. I have the rest.

Admittedly, I know very little about any of the above coins. I have been doing some research and I have a pretty good idea of what years to hit, but I would like some ideas for best struck and whatever other advice I can get. My budget for this set will be modest with a max of mid-upper three digits for the rare ones, and lower three digits for the more common pieces.

Thanks.

You may want to consider a chopmarked Trade dollar if you can find an attractive, apparently original piece in mid-grade. This will have an added coolness factor and might not cost that much more than a non-chopped piece.
