09 Lincoln Cents

Not sure if this has been posted and if so, sorry!

 

I called the mint today to follow up on my UHR (it shipped today) and asked if they had any Lincoln rolls (was worth a shot) and the lady told me that the P & D rolls will go on sale Mar 13.

 

Again, sorry if you already know or it has been posted elsewhere, just wanted to let those interested know.

Same here! Good thing about cents is that even double, or triple, face isn't a bank buster.

IIRC the Westward Journey sets sold for a little over 2X face ($8.95 per set) so maybe these will be like $2.95 or so.

Seems like 2009 might be good year to phase out the Lincoln from circulation.

End on the issue of 4 new Lincolns and call the penny obsolete

My guess is that the Mint will produce Pennies for collectors for a few years but the commerce penny will end soon
