I think i will stop collecting USA coins :sorry:

 

Check this 1795 cent out with one hour to go

 

I did bid on it and i think i must be WAY out of touch with prices at the moment as i was no ware near !!

It looks like a 1795 with the head of 1794, which the person listing the coin calls a Type 1. with the coin probably a PO-1 or FR-2, which is currently worth about $200-250 ($200 is about 141 GB Pounds). Right now, the price looks like a good buy!

It looks like a Sheldon 76. If it has a letter edge, it's the 76a variety; if the edge is plain it is a 76b. The 76a is the scarcer of the two by a wide margin.

 

The main diagnostic is the style of the head and the high "ONE CENT" on the reverse.

 

Here is a high grade example you can use to compare the details.
