1776 Irish Evasion found

Yet another find from this weekend it is a 5.6g Irish Evasion and i was wondering if this had any USA connection? and any value or how much should i give my mate for halves on it ?

I don't think it's an Evasion piece, I think it is probably a poor quality contemporary counterfeit. The evasion pieces typically have non-standard legends.

 

Cobright only lists one evasion reverse with the Hibernia 17 76 reverse and it comes with three different obverses. One with an obv legend of Cornwallis and the other two with George II obverses.

interesting that it only lists a George II not III .. i have sent this coin in the spinks lot of Contemporary forgeries .. lets see if they pick it up ..
