This 1795 cent is the runner-up in my best of 2008 purchaes. I sold a very nice example of this coin about 20 years ago and have regretted it ever since. This variety, Sheldon 76B, is supposed to be "common" in Mint State. I look for a replacement, but every coin I say had a mint caused or post mint caused defect that runined the piece for me. Finally this one popped up at the last Baltimore show. It is in a PCGS MS-62, Brown holder, and it's nicer than the one I sold two decades ago.
