Post a well matched set

45 posts in this topic

I just bought an amazing perfectly matched set of blue 1958 toners from Shane, a dime, quarter, and half. I really wanted the half, but when I saw how well the three went together I just had to get them all. There's just something about having a set of coins that look like they were made to go together. Individually, the coins each have great eye appeal, but when you bring the three of them together it increases their desirability. Almost like 1+1+1 = 4. So, post a set of yours that is well matched, almost like they were made for each other. Doesn't have to be toners, either - for example, a perfectly matched gem circulated set is something nice to see as well.

I'm not sure if this is the type of set you're looking for since it's all one coin type but this is a matched set I took a lot of time to put together.

Thanks Dean. (thumbs u

Since you started just last August, and this is another "set"...

...I'll bring out some previously posted photos. (shrug)

These are from last spring when I added the twenty cent piece to my type set. With the double dime I completed a set (within my type set) of the six different denominations of Seated Liberties in proofs.

I'm working on a matched 1943-P set. The lighting in these pics varies a little; their appearance is closer than it seems from the photos.

Still looking for a MS65 Walker with full thumb, good strike, and nice luster.

I 'm not sure if this qualifies as a "well matched set", but it is at least a SET. I LOVE the Draped Bust series! Sorry for the big scans.
