NCS Excessive Surface Hairlines?

1 post in this topic

I recently acquired a number of NCS "Graded" coins that indicate high grade details but shows a description of "Excessive Surface Hairlines". Naturally I made some comparisons to NGC graded items of same denominations and values etc. under high magnification and really struggle to find any differences between the NGC and NCS Grades. These are all well toned silver coins all over 100 years old.

Would it be possible or would there be a benefit to re-submit these for NCS conservation first, and then NGC grading as the seller indicated that these items went on to NGC first and he asked for NCS slabbing of the coins should they not grade.

From what I read here on the forum more of items that went to NCS first was sent on and achieved grading by NGC.
