Dang it, Mark, what a coin!!!

 

1871 Seated Liberty Half Dollar PCGS PR63 $1550

Ex Benson collection (Part 2), sold by the Goldberg's in February, 2002 and, like many of the coins in that collection, it hits the viewer with tempting colors and strong eye-appeal. Primarily faint golden-gray in hue but highlighted by dramatic peripheries featuring crescents of golden and deep blue.
