That's OK, what he said wasn't proper English. I feel sure it was a slang term (local common usage) used to mean that it is very impressive.

 

Belt has more than one definition and in this case belter derives from the definition of Belt meaning "to hit". In which case a "belter" would be one who hits or makes a hit, and "Hit" meaning to make a striking impression as in "The show was a Hit!". So a Belter is one who makes a striking impression.

Wow, Conder. Thats entirely too much work to figure out what he meant. I would have just gone with "The daft Englishman is speaking funny again" and left it at that. Haha, you know we love you Dooly!

 

That's a pretty cool coin, but too bad about the corrosion.
