When your wife's jewelry and your vital documents can't fit into the safe because it's too full of coins, and there's no good place for you to put another safe.

That's when you sell the wife's jewelry to make more room for coins. If this makes the wife mad and she leaves, now you room for a second safe! (Unfortunately after she leaves, you probably have a lot more space in the safe because you have a lot fewer coins. :( )
