US-Coinage-and-the-War-of-1812

I just completed a Civil War and Reconstruction set. I can not even contemplate how long a War of 1812-15 set would take and would cost? Good grief!

Stupendous linky, Victor. I wrote last year on the topic (somewhat) when I wrote the article on Madison and numismatics for Coin Values' Presidential Dollars issue. (This year I wrote about Jackson and numismatics, which is just as interesting. That'll appear this year in Coin World.) Sets of coinage that represent transitions in American history, such as those mentioned and what Charlie mentioned, are fabulous pursuits. I think that one could do similar topical collecting with other American and foreign coinage.
