1902 Russian 5R MS63 - Value?

5 posts in this topic

I dropped off a Russian 5R from 1902 at the Long Beach show and was graded a MS63. I had it re-graded by NGC because of concern the grade that it was graded by another service was not quite true, it was graded a MS65. You learn when you deal with other grading service that don't really stand behind their grades.

The question I'm asking; is trying to find a value of this coin?

Thanks for any comments or Ideas of its worth.

I do not believe the Krause prices are correct if that is current. $95 is less than melt value and $200 sounds too high. My recollection is that these coins sell for slightly over melt because they are common. I would check eBay and Teletrade, which would be useful if they have any recent sales that reflect the current price of gold.
