Jefferson Nickels with Reeded Edges or Engraved with Flag?

2 posts in this topic

While doing some research for SchatzyJr's quiz, I came across this statement: At the 1941 American Numismatic Association convention in Philadelphia, collectors could buy Jefferson nickels with a flag engraved above Monticello’s dome, and Jefferson nickels with a reeded edge.

Wondering, has anyone ever seen one of these or can someone show an example of both or of either one?

Thanks in advance.

On the reeded edge coins, these are believed to have been done by Ira Reed, at the 1941 ANA, privately done. And they were not Jefferson nickels, but rather 1937-dated Lincoln cents and Buffalo nickels.
