Not sure exactly what you are asking but with the 1878 Morgans that you have images of there are several varieties that exist. Tripling of the cotton balls in Liberty's Bonnet, Broken Letters as in the lower right serifs of N and M in UNUM and the U and R in Pluribus are slightly doubled, bottom serifs of the N and M in Unum are broken off, Triple Eye (spikes) where the front of liberty's eye shows towo tiny spikes under the eyelid, DDO/DDR a doubled spike is evident in front of liberty's eye, just below the eyelid. The P in Pluribus is doubled above the serifs on its base and at the top, weak L in liberty which has an over polished liberty.

Your two 1878 Morgans have quite possibly the most prolific listing of VAM's around. Here is a web site that should help you, but it will take a while and probably a lot of help to get it down to the most accurate VAM. Good luck, both are nice looking coins.
