Hoot: I always thought that being a community service doc. would be very rewarding. It is nice to give something back in life, even later in life. All the best and keep in touch.

Hoot, I'm sorry to hear of your liquidation, but I wish you nothing but the best. Going back to school has crossed my mind several times, and I'm glad to hear you're actually doing it. I envy your vision and courage...Mike

p.s. if you've not gotten rid of all your copper, please keep me in mind.

'Tis the ongoing saga of a man called "Hoot".

Who's well-being, we all give a toot.

A scholar, an educator and friend as well.

With a strong character, I can tell.

His postings and articles have inspired.

Clear and concise without becoming mired.

Thank you, my friend, for your continued presence at NGC.

For there's more to learn and more to see.

'Tain't easy to let go.

Of your buffalo heard that you did grow.

'Twas a heard of quality bearing.

A bold collection and O' so daring.

Focus and prioritize, 'tis our duty.

Family first, says our Hooty.

A new path, a new career unfolding.

A limitless future Hoot is beholding.

Medicine, curing, attending the lame.

Treating his copper, it is all the same.

Love and respect, we send out to you.

Only excel and do, do, do!

Good luck, Hoot! We'll miss you, but even without an active collection you should still come by and share the knowledge and company! Er... assuming you have the time... which given the med school thing... maybe not so much.

"Dr. Biology" must expire to be reincarnated as Marcus Welby.
