1853 is a great year to put together, besides the odd denominations,(half cents, large cents, and 3 cent silver trimes), it's a one year type for the quarter and half and one of two years for the arrows type dime and half dime. (thumbs u

 

The rays reverse found on the 1853 quarter or half is what make that variety of seated liberty quarter and halves my favorite, the rays added a lot to a reverse design that was used for 85 years and saw only minor changes from the bust obverses to the seat liberty varieties.
