It's one of the "chickless" varieties. Head of chick is there but no body.

i have seen RB ones do $40+ but i have never seen one with so much luster remaining as this one. so if mine fail's to sell on ebay its going off to NGC and being put in the collection.

Lads, I have seen this coin sell for about €6 in BU.

The 1942 missing chick which is alot harder to find and a lot rarer are listed on ebay even cheaper but not in good condition.

If interested there is many die varities in the Irish series

Halfcrown 1961 mule

Farthing 1959 Fada attached to first e in Eire

1946 wider spacing between 4 and 6

Shilling 1937 again wider spacing of the 37

There is also many in the Florin 1939 and 1940 in the spacing between the

3 and 9 and 4 and 0
