Mercury dime finds what do you think

Hi all.

 

I have just recived my 2nd lot of worn Mercury dimes from an eBay seller in the USA to fill gaps in my Dansco album and i have found these two intresting ones in the lot. What do you think

The first seems to be a 1928s Large mintmark Variety Cherrypickers page 58

FS-10-1928s-501 (10c-010.26) Now thats a code !!

 

 

the second is i have not found listed and it may be my eyes but it looks like there are 2 diffrent mint marks on these 1929s (Large and Small)

 

 

Can any one shed some light on these coins please

Hi dooly.

That first 1929 sure looks like it has the early small mintmark to me.

I didn't know they used both that year.

Yes idhair.. i have look through all the books i have and all i find is the 1928 listed with both mint marks.

I wonder if it was a mint mark punch the had lying about in the mint ?
