    Now it's just Australia's Sovereigns, including one special 2005 150th Anniversary
    All I need is a nice grade (XF45 or better) Type 1 Sovereign, preferably 1855. Hopefully NGC will make me a real area for this to go in, it could be getting me POINTS !
    My errors and other coin set is now a GB New Coinage Type Set - So far just Half Sovereigns. 3 coins, and thus it's already complete.. depends if you count a very rare 1818/7 overdate variety.

    I'm pretty happy. Only have 3 of 5 coins so far, one is a 70 the other at 69.. anyone got 69/70 of the first coins available ? Washington and Adams!! let me know. I need the original box etc of course.

    More scheduled up very quick this time..
    Well they only just arrived but have been entered into the database. Five 2008 PF Silver Eagles. There better be some 70 in there! they all looked good. Last year all 5 graded 70 so hoping for the same.
    Next submission includes this interesting one, the first ORBITAL.. 50th Anniversary Of Sputnik 1957-2007
    Due to size constraints this coin does not orbit - the animated GIF was too large

    Talk about consolidating !! I feel like I'm losing a limb.. but none of these coins are important anymore - look at my lovely set. All it needs is 1855 1 Sov NGC XF45 and I will be very happy ! a $20K set mostly MS and one of each type.. great keeper collection that will stay in safe storage for some time

    Scenario : I bought Platinum Eagles, $1945 USD.. 3 months ago
    Today I am the proud owner of a NGC PF70 set, they graded perfect. The US Mint showed my order as in stock and reserved for over 2 months ! they may have washed out onto the street.
    Meanwhile, the price of platinum went WAY above the price I paid. They still delivered. I love this country ! thankyou US MINT !!

    It's been a long time coming..
    Finally they hit QC earlier today (US time).. the census shows that well over 50% get PF70 for both coins in the set.. fingers crossed!!
    How happy would I be with both 70's ? VERY
    I'm going to be disappointed if they aren't.. my set came 3 months after I ordered, after the tornado problem. Here's hoping mine didn't move, or were recoined from GOOD ENOUGH DIES to give me 70's
    PS grading hasn't been slow. Tier is Modern Special, package RECEIVED 20th, scheduled for grading by Tues and graded 2 days later..

    My card AUTH has disappeared.. BUT..
    The ORDER STATUS has now changed. Shows as being PROCESSED !! the cancel box is also removed, so I can't cancel the order (lord knows why I would want to anyway)
    So it looks like I will get my platinum eagle set.. still waiting after about 2 months ! Should be worth the wait

    While my coins were gold, I still thought the images came out good..
    I have heard negative feedback after showing them to a friend.. I think they look great as thumbnails and for their purpose, the registry. See my signature set if you haven't seen NGC's new imaging done on gold coins.. or any coins for that matter !

    These are available to MS66, probably not higher..
    I purchased a couple of these, one MS64 and one MS65. I have seen MS66 for sale, which are about a 2000 pop.. looking at the pops now, there are in fact some MS67's ! 59 to be exact..

    Mint errors in the mail.. heres that 10c and $1 !
    Well, here they are..
    The other 3 coins aren't imaged, they are in a mule set holder as seen in my 2nd signature set. 10c has rotated during transit again, indicating the capsule holding it isn't quite exactly the right size for an Aussie 10c. Bit of a shame really
    All coins will have full images very soon, just see my errors signature set

    Also interesting is this mule 10c which was determined by Noble (formerly Spink Australia) as being circa 1970. I did ask for that to be put on the slab but nope, I got KM-65 which is OK too.

    A nice second set.. PS if you are looking at the pop for the $1 mule it is really around 2000 or more. And the 62 is 63, a typo ? it must happen. This coin is nice but not realistically UNC either.

    Stick with NGC and PCGS...
    But noone is perfect. Have seen a coin from PCGS with "residue" not cross, I'm sure others have. NGC are my favourite, then PCGS. The rest are worth nothing.

    Ordered Platinum Rev PF set over a month ago and was expected to ship over a week ago.. card was billed ! then not billed, AUTH ONLY disappeared a day later
     
    Still hasn't come back, the money is in my account??? Ok US MINT I'll wait.. its not easy I ordered the $2000 Platinum set and have been waiting well over a month, in that time it has shown as expected to ship, and then moved to in stock and reservedAre they not shipping at the moment or something ? must be a backlog of orders. Card has the cash.. waiting :)Juuust waiting..

    Wrongly slabbed coin, what to do ?
    I have in my signature set, a wrongly slabbed coin - Sovereign slabbed by PCGS as 1879 XF45
    Worse than that, its slabbed upside down, and even has a ROYAL MINT and British flag colour label in the holder..
    Its clearly a M mint coin, worth 230 pounds less if you take Spink 2006 figures (300 pounds less 70 pounds)
    Should I just give up ? PCGS do not reply to emails. Being in Australia, I figure the best thing to do is sell it to a persistent enough person who will get something in the way of $ out of PCGS as well as a free slabbing ?
    Thoughts on this and other incidents welcome, very interested if others are holding mistake slabs??

    If you login and go to COINS > My order status, all the info is there.
    Look at the estimated times but more important the current estimated times. Also note the situation that a coin can sit in one stage for a substantial time while there are a lot of coins being graded - it depends mainly on tier I believe.
    All is explained, just read !
