20th Anniversary sets and now the wait begins
Last fall when I first ordered a 20th Anniversary set from the mint, I couldn't wait to see it! Within a week I ordered another, and like alot of others was placed on back-order status. Listening & reading, began to wonder if I would get them at all?
Not long before I recieved them I learned not to open the boxes so that was good, but really hard! My wife has laughed at me several times the last 3 month, because I had these special sets, that I just couldn't wait to get, but now couldn't open up to see them or show to others.
Well, I finally sent them to NGC 2 days ago, tonight they are listed as received, so I wait like alot of others have shared in their journals! It's exciting yet scary, hoping for the best grades, but trying to be realistic at the same time! It would have been great to have at least looked at them first, but will be happy in the end, so I can get the label!
Thanks to all for sharing their journals, they are informative, helpful and a pleasure to read!

Not what I hoped, but grateful...
My first submission of 2 20th Anniv. Silver sets got to NGC on the 18th of April, went to "Scheduled" on the 25th, then to "Quality Control" on the 27th. Got the grades yesterday, all 69's except one PF-70 Ultra Cameo. Like everyone, hoping for all 70's, and my balloon was deflated for the last 24 hours.
I told my wife at first, I should have kept them in the sealed boxes, at least in my mind they were still 70's, but now with the pictures NGC made of them, and entered into my Registry Sets, I am grateful for what I have! It could have been worse!
NGC lived up to it's 12 day turn-around time, the pictures were Great I think, I'm very pleased with their exceptional services, and won't hesitate to have more grading done by them!
For those who got more 70's, my hat is off to you, happy coin collecting to you all!

I commend you on the effort to make things interesting & fun!
The trivias are really fun and they make a person look up things that you never would otherwise. It expands ones knowlege of coin, teachs you something you wouldn't have otherwise even looked into. It's fun to win once, but it's really just fun trying to play and learn something new.
Again, thanks for making things fun here, and for taking the time & making the effort to do so!
