    When the ABC became the USBC, many awards were no longer rewarded, such as the 7-10 and Big 4 conversion patches.  The worst, imho, is that a 300 ring is only rewarded once for lifetime.  Under ABC, a 300 ring could be awarded a maximum of once a year, with patches awarded for subsequent 300s;  However, with the advant of better technology and the 2 hand mehodology, the number of 300 games (and 800 series) bowled has risen dramatically.
