  1. I think all of the recent 08 NM 67 non-CAC trades have been in the $7K to $9K range.  A CAC one traded for a little over $16K earlier this year at auction (don’t think it was Wells Fargo) but I’m aware of private sales a bit higher.  A couple of WF 68s have traded this year for $20K (there are zero 68 CAC out of a relatively large pop–CAC must not like them for some reason since I’m sure many have been submitted given the price point of that coin).

  2. Since you referenced a 1924 i note that a 1924 PCGS 67 CAC sold for $38,400 at the recent Heritage auction (which is consistent with prior auction prices and what I paid for mine in a private sale so the Heritage price wasn’t a fluke sale).    The 24 is a common date coin—on a rare date (where the CAC pop is also very low) the CAC spread can be much more material.  The extremely low CAC pops on many of the Heritage coins that you originally posted a few posts up is one of the drivers of the prices.

  3. Yes, only a handful of Saints as you referenced.  He had a much bigger collection that was sold years ago.  The 09D from the Warren collection sold at Heritage has a Bass pedigree (not CAC though).  They only kept the handful of representative coins (each is a different type).  A couple of them look fairly baggy in the pictures (and a few look good but always hard to tell with just pictures).

  4. At Heritage, one of the top registry sets was being sold off in its entirety (the collector, Warren (or onecoinsouth on the registry) had everything other than a 27D).  Take a look at the 07 (67), 09/8 (66), 09 (66), 20S (65), 25 (67), 30S (65), 31 (66) and 32 (66) among others.  Very strong prices.  I never thought that I’d enjoy watching others bidding at an auction but it was somewhat exciting.
