Newly discovered errors
in Ask NGC/NCS

I just came across a 1964 Jefferson Nickel, after putting it under the scope I found what appears to be doubling on the reverse. Mostly on" United States" and slight doubling on "monticello". I looked in varieties for 64 Jefferson's, could not find this. Is there actual doubling here or is this wear? Or is this indeed a newly discovered variety of error ?
