Is there any way to deal with oxidation on a coin so that it wont be labeled as a "cleaned" or "altered"?
Reason I ask, I have some coins that were
stored and have oxidation covering the doubled die lines and visual significance. Just curious and open to any pointers or advice.

I found a known doubled die coin that has an extra , upper-top portion of a "Y" at the end of "LIBERTY". I assumed that it would be a known variety but there is nothing covering the extra portion of a letter for this specific DD. I checked Variety Vista, Coppercoins and a few others, found nothing.
Is this significant in raising the value of the coin or is it something that takes away from it?

Hi, l'm looking for some feedback about the 82' small date zinc variety. I'm aware that the 1982P-DDO-001 exists and is rare variety.
I believe I came across the 1982D variety, along with the known DDO. Or so I'm hoping.
I'm curious about finding out if they are all legit and was hoping to see if you guys would be interested in verifying. I attempted to reach out to the right people, with no response.
Thanks in advance,

"Y" does it automatically have to be damage if no resource can be found for it?
But I'm guessing you didn't find nothing on it because there is no information or image confirming your opinion for the identical partial "Y".
I didn't want to post a full picture, because it wasn't relevant. I wasn't asking for an educated guess on the price. I just wanted to know if it impacted the significance of the coin or not. But it's ok, I wanted to get rid of it. Thanks for your input
