Apologies if I missed this posted in an obvious place, but I searched the forums and the site and didn't see anything on this.
I'm wondering when a coin, that is in another graded holder, is removed from that holder? Does the grader assigned the piece do that or is that done by someone else so that the grader is given a 'raw' coin to grade?
Thanks!

Thanks, Ali. Just so I understand, in the future (no ETA, yet) there will be a scored registry category for something like this? The second question is, will I be able to easily 'export/import' my custom set into the new custom registry pages? Or will I need to re-do the data input? Thanks again!

Would a complete set of all proof or mint state coins (1999-Present) for a specific year be custom or competitive? I see competitive for things like a the standard issue proof coins, but not what I'd refer to as a 'master set' to include all proof issues for the year, including commemoratives, silver and clad issues, ASE, Spouse gold, etc.. If that is considered 'custom' is there any opportunity for a competitive category enhancement for this concept of a 'master set?'

I'm a newbie submitter. My postal tracking shows my submission is received. How long, typically, does it take to go from physically received to opened and entered into your system so I can track my submission? These were submitted with paper forms and 'standard' processing. Thanks!
Where in the grading process is a coin removed from the holder?

Thank you, Lisa. That answers my question completely!
