    NGC,ICG,PCGS,ANACS
Hi, I am new to the collectors society and IMHO ICG and ANACS are not the services we need to worry about. These two services are just as legitimate as NGC and PCGS. The ones we need to worry about are the ones that are putting MS 70 and PF 70 on almost every coin they grade, and there are plenty of them out there. NTC,INS,SEGS,PCCGS,STAR GRADING,PCC,PCI just to name a few. Some services evan put fake and "doctored" coins in holders. It has been said that the ANA should set criteria that must be met before they (TPG's) can be certified by the ANA. IMO we do need someone to police our hobby. If there where a "certification requirement" there would be less confusion and hopefully less crooks in our hobby. Thank You and again Hello to everyone.

    TPG's
I agree with Jackson's view about our hobby. And if I may add my 2 cents worth. I think the ANA should stand up and police our hobby, That is what they were founded for. They can set rules and regulations and set minimum standers for TPG's and if the TPG does not meet the standers they do not get ANA endorsement. Thanks

    POP Reports
If the POP reports show any one grading service is better than any other then PCGS should be the best because their POP's are lower than any other service. It has been said that ICG is not as Conservative as NGC. The current NGC POP reports show that NGC has grading 70 sets of ASE's at MS-70 and PCGS's current reports show they have not yet graded a set of ASE's at MS-70. According to the numbers it appears NGC is not as Conservative as PCGS. Does that mean we should no buy NGC graded coins?? That is why IMO the POP report's do not tell the whole story. It seems to me that if we can not trust the numbers the who can we trust?? If we throw out the numbers and go by things like POP reports alone then we are buying the holder and not the coin. And if we are going to buy the holder then why not buy the prettiest one. HA HA Here are the current CDN numbers
the COIN DEALER Newsletter Certified Coin Market Indicator?: SERVICE LOW HIGH AVERAGE
    PCGS 69.78% 94.63% 84.62%
    NGC 57.14% 93.44% 79.04%
    ANACS 35.00% 78.75% 56.75%
    ICG 71.07% 95.23% 80.16%
    PCI 31.58% 65.68% 50.06%

Don't forget SGS, NNGC, MMCGC, WCG, PGCS
ICG does not over grade any more than NGC. NGC has graded a lot more coins ms-70 than PCGS has. Does that mean NGC is bad??? And as far as who is looking for a "sucker" to take advantage of, We all know Robert (Shop at Home) will say anything it takes to separate people from their money. It has been said that no body can grade 15,000 coins ms-70 " First Day of Issue" in one day. But what I can't understand is how can coins be graded BU (witch is not in POP reports) and "First Day of Issue" weeks before they (coins) are released to the public. I am beginning to wonder who does NGC grade coins for. Understand I think NGC is one of the best out there but IMO NGC should not associate themselves with people like Robert.

    Survey

Hi, In response to Dennis Edwards post about the ANA and the PNG's survey that ranks TPG's. NGC is the official grading service for the ANA and the PNG. PCGS was the official service for the PNG until recently and PCGS had to remove PNG from there label. IMO that is a conflict of interest. Maybe someone more "neutral" should do a survey.
